Kippford Rest – Luxury Caravan at Coastal Kippford

Discover our family caravan holiday home for the perfect stay in Kippford with loved ones. We want to share with you our new family holiday escape to create your own memories of this fantastic part of the Solway Coast!

Kippford Rest is located by the lovely seaside village of Kippford on the Solway Firth, often referred to as Scotland’s Riviera Coast.

Our caravan offers a range of great features to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable.

The large open plan living area is designed with the whole family in mind. This fantastic caravan is sited on a pitch in a quiet cul-de-sac on the lower Park within easy reach of the footgate leading to Kippford village and across to the golf course and bar opposite. It’s best features is the large outside decked area to the side and front, capturing the sun throughout the day.

*The Inside Space*

The main entrance to this static caravan opens to a hallway which is ideal for keeping both muddy boots, coats and luggage neat and tidy.

Beautifully designed for ease of use, the kitchen makes entertaining guests easy where you will find everything you need for your self catering stay. The fixed seating in the dining area, is the perfect little nook for the kids to play or to unwind and have drinks with friends whilst preparing meals. Integrated kitchen appliances include a microwave, fridge freezer, gas oven, gas grill and hob plus a handy air-fryer and dishwasher.

The main bedroom has a king size bed which is a peaceful paradise boasting an en-suite with shower and dressing area. The twin bedroom hosts two full sized single beds and you will find TVs in both bedrooms. All the beds have great mattresses for a good nights sleep and black out curtains too!

For those who enjoy a long soak with a good book after a day out exploring there is a bath in the main bathroom, complete with an overhead shower – a rare find to have a full bath in a caravan which is also perfect for the kids too!

In the lounge there is a large L-shaped wraparound seating. For cosy nights relax around the electric fire and watch the Smart TV or a DVD’s or play some of the games on offer. Gas central heating also keeps you warm throughout.

*The Outside Space*

The best part of this holiday home is the dual aspect patio space. The sliding patio door from the lounge leads out onto the lovely side deck where you can enjoy the outdoor dining area for both alfresco breakfasts or evening BBQ’s. The second sofa seating area offer a more relaxed space allowing you to enjoy the afternoon and late evening sunshine – perfect for drinks.

We also have a Cadac BBQ for you to use to cook outside too. Make yourself cosy with the outdoor cushions too and soak up the colourful landscape of the park.

The park on site facilities include two play area for children and laundry services. Opposite to the park you will find a golf course and small friendly bar with seasonal entertainment. The walk down to Kippford takes 10 mins and here you can find a marina and the Mariner pub plus The Arc café.

• Bike rides from the park across the road directly joins Dalbeattie Forest one of the 7stanes world-class biking routes

• Dip in the sea or paddle board at hide tide at Roughfirth

• Enjoy 9 holes at Kippfords Craigeknowles Golf Course opposite the caravan

• Take a forest walk from the top of the park down to RockCliffe to grab an ice cream by the sea and walk back along the Jubilee path

• Go crabbing off the jetties at Kippford

• Let the kids let off some steam at the 2 parks onsite at the caravan park

• BBQ on the caravan balcony or have a beach BBQ instead

• Spend the day at Sandyhills beach and explore the sea caves

• Grab some lunch at The Arc café on the sea front at Kippford

• Collect sea glass and sea shells frome White Shell beach for our fairy garden at the caravan

• Pub lunch at nearby The Mariner or Clonyard House Hotel

• Wander over to the Tee Rooms Bar opposite the caravan for a cold pint of Menabrea, look out for the outdoor seasonal live music !

• Swim or fish in White Loch at Colvend

• Walk to the hidden secluded beaches of White Port and White Horse Bay

• Catch the bus from the park to Sandyhills and walk back along the coastal path for the most stunning cliff top views

• Enjoy the sunsets from Castle Point over the stunning Solway Coastline and towards the Lake District Peaks

• Take a circular hike up The Screel Hill and see views for miles of the coastline

• Walk across to Rough Island island at low tide (wellies needed!)

• Visit the garden centre for kids indoor and outdoor play and grab homemade ice cream at Dalcose Farm Park

• Apple and blackberry picking next to the caravan

• Explore nearby market towns of Dalbeattie, Castle Douglas, Kirkcudbright
